Women's Circles

For women who are interested in furthering their faith through studies and other activities, Living Faith offers several small groups known as Circles. The Circles offer Bible Study and Fellowship and everyone is welcome to join in at any time.

Dorcas Circle – Meets the second Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in the Parlor at the East Campus.

Dorcas Circle is comprised of working and retired ladies looking to study and learn together while keeping their minds open to new ideas and possibilities.  They enjoy planning the “Sundaes on Wednesdays” guest speaker and community event with Rebekah Circle in the Spring and Fall, the Ministries of Encouragement to recognize and thank various community work places and organizations and Bingo parties for the residents at the Villas at Lincoln Park.

Rebekah Circle – meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9:15 a.m. at the East Campus in the Parlor.

Rebekah Circle engages in a Bible Study from The Gather Magazine published by the Women of the ELCA. They have covered a variety of subjects over the years and have a lively, thought-provoking session each month. The magazine also has many interesting articles which are worth reading.

We receive an offering every month. At the end of the year, we send half to the ELCA and the other half we donate to various good causes such as HALO, National Youth Gathering, Mt. Meru Tumaini Clinic, FaithWorks Food Pantry, and the ELCA Good Gifts Program. Each member also has an offering “bank” where she puts in coins to acknowledge a special blessing. This money is combined with the monthly offerings for distribution.

We are involved in an intentional prayer program where we draw names at random from the congregation and send a note to let them know we are praying for them that month.

We would love to have new people join us!
