Stewardship for Unprecedented Times

Living Faith is being called to persevere through uncharted waters in the midst of great anxiety and fear. We have been called for such a time as this. Scripture abounds with stories of God’s work in anxious times. Every time angels appear, they bring one message, “Do not be afraid.” As we have moved away from in-person worship, there is concern about finances. How can we survive without the passing of the offering plate? God continues to bring that angelic message, “Do not be afraid”.

This isn’t simply blind optimism, pretending all is well when it is not. We proclaim a God of abundance who provides for God’s people. We trust in that promise. Living Faith needs sustaining financial resources to continue its ministry. We have committed to continue to pay all staff through at least the April 24th safer-at-home order duration. We are also proceeding to call an interim Pastor. The bills will keep coming in for the mortgage and rent, utilities, insurance, employee benefits, and other routine expenses. As many of you are already aware, we are also continuing the stewardship of our building in continuing the vital food ministries offered at the Sunday night community meal program and the FaithWorks food pantry which are each operating on a take-out basis. Your financial support is still very much needed and appreciated. Thank you for your generosity.

We will no longer have an offering basket or plate to pass, so we wanted to let you know how you can continue giving at a distance. Here are some ways in which we you continue to make offerings for the ongoing ministry of Living Faith.
